I am excited to be a member of the Butler family. The kids here are tops!
I hold degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama. I have taught for 12 years in high school, middle school and elementary settings. My preferred grade level is by far elementary. I love to make learning more like play so the kids are enjoying themselves and becoming more engaged.
This year we will be focusing on playing instruments, learning singing techniques, and reading music. Understanding how to follow a piece of music and the rhythms and pitches will give the students a greater appreciation of and interest in music. I focus on self-discovery of music. Learning self-esteem and confidence is naturally a part of learning music and its performance. I believe music and the arts can enhance every part of everyone’s life!
