We are so grateful to start the year with you and your student. Butler students have done an amazing job in learning the SOAR expectations, they demonstrate Self Control, are Organized, show a positive Attitude and are Respectful.
Drop-off and Pick-up
Our Butler community has been very gracious in the change of drop off and pick up procedures.
A few reminders: If there is a change in your student’s normal pick up, please contact the office by 2:30pm. We understand there are extenuating circumstances and do our best to get messages to students before the end of the day. All students riding the bus wait inside until the buses arrive for end of day pick up. If your child is not to ride the bus home please contact the office so we can ensure your student knows where to go after school.
All students being picked up or walking home exit the front doors. Families - please give enough space for all students to exit the building by standing on the walks or grass. When individuals are gathered by the door, it causes much congestion and an unsafe environment.
If you need to park your vehicle there are limited spots in the front of the building (including handicap spaces), there are many spots on the street and limited spots in the circle drive (please be aware of fire lanes and fire hydrant locations). The circle drive is also an option for dropping students off while staying in your vehicle and waiting in your vehicle for your student to approach you at the end of the day. Please, DO NOT drive into the parking lot from Reynolds Street, this is a ONE WAY exit onto Reynolds.
Wednesday Folders
Your student should be coming home every Wednesday with a blue folder. This folder is our way to send home communication from the school and the community. Please check this folder on a weekly basis.
Class Dojo
Every classroom teacher has created a Class Dojo and has a specific link for parents to connect with. Please take a minute to connect with your student’s classroom teacher via Class Dojo. We also use this to share school wide announcements and information.
Free and Reduced Lunch Application
Please take a moment to complete the free and reduced lunch application. This can be completed online or on paper and returned to school for submission. Every family that submits their application before Sept 1 and provides the office with verification will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift card. Three gift cards will be rewarded.
