Subject: Superintendent Search Update
Dear Weld 8 School Community,
The search for our next permanent superintendent is underway, and we are committed to keeping
you informed about the steps involved in this important process.
The first step in our efforts is the selection of a professional agency to facilitate the recruitment
process. The Board of Education is currently in discussions with potential recruiting agencies
and anticipates making a decision at the next regular board meeting. Once an agency has been
selected, we will begin organizing opportunities for community input.
Because we value the perspectives of our community, we will invite you to participate in
discussions with the recruitment agency's lead facilitator. These meetings will provide an
opportunity to share your insights and expectations for the qualities and qualifications desired in
our next superintendent.
The Board plans to conduct candidate interviews in March. As part of this process, an external
interview committee will be formed to meet with candidates and provide valuable feedback to
the Board.
We will continue to provide updates as the search progresses. If you have any questions, please
