Dear Weld Re-8 District Families,
The night before the first day of school is traditionally filled with excitement, laying out their clothes, and packing backpacks. Apparently, for our phone service provider, it's also the absolute perfect time to experience a fiber-optic link failure.
Please be advised that all district phone lines are currently down, this outage affects all inbound and outbound calls. Because this is entirely an external service provider issue (meaning, for once, the dog did eat our homework and it is genuinely not our fault), we unfortunately do not have an estimated time for when the system will be fixed. The provider has assured us the issue is being addressed; however, we do not have an estimated repair time.
Our incredible secretaries will be monitoring their inboxes very closely to make sure you have a direct way to reach your child's school. If you need any assistance, please reach out via email directly to the secretary of your child's school. Their emails are below:

Though this interruption in service is completely outside our control, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We absolutely refuse to let a broken fiber-optic cable put a damper on our start to the year!

Estimadas familias del Distrito Escolar Weld Re-8,
La noche antes del primer día de escuela, tradicionalmente está llena de emoción, alistar la ropa y preparar la mochila. Aparentemente, para nuestro proveedor de servicio de teléfono, también es el tiempo absolutamente perfecto de tener una falla fibra-óptica.
Por favor tengan en cuenta que todas las líneas de teléfono del distrito actualmente no sirven, afectando todas las llamadas. Porque este es completamente un problema del proveedor de servicio externo (lo que significa, que por primera vez, el perro si se comió nuestra tarea y genuinamente no es nuestra culpa), desafortunadamente no tenemos un estimado de tiempo de cuando el sistema será resuelto. Nos han asegurado que están trabajando en el problema, pero no tenemos un tiempo estimado de que se resuelva.
